Boreas Inn’s professional forager and dear friend, Veronica Williams, is on the look-out for wild oyster mushrooms. The nice long oyster mushroom season is about to begin on the Long Beach, Washington Peninsula and the surrounding area! We’re looking forward to adding them to our luscious breakfasts very soon! Thought you might want to see what they look like in the woods. Very pretty!

Glad you like the blog, Gretchen! Did you know that Stacy and Jake’s baby is really soon–like now-I think they will name him Eli.– and I’m trying to get them to rent a trailer and come to the fair? He’s going to be 3 mos old, after all–and there will be a zillion aunties dying to play with a 3 month old baby! How are you doing? I never heard back from you on facebook.

Thank you for the oyster picture, very cool. Our 2007 Wild Mushroom stay at the inn and foraging tour with Veronica Williams was one of the best times my husband and I have ever spent together. We were celebrating our 19th anniversary. Susie & Bill’s wild mushroom gravy was one great addition to our breakfast along with the ginger pumpkin pancakes. I made the recipe for our 3 teenagers. Wolf city it was here. YUMMY!
Besides the wild mushroom festival in town, they were also having their cranberry & kite festival. Kept us very busy.
Thank you,
Tina
