The holidays are a special time on the Long Beach Peninsula, where November and December events highlight the region’s musicians, artists and innkeepers. November’s festivities include Holidays at the Beach programming for families and children Nov. 25-27, as well as the Peninsula Art Association’s Studio Tour set for Nov. 25-26.
On Dec. 10-11, Boreas and two other boutique inns will open their doors to the community for the annual Bed & Breakfast Holiday Open House, where guests can tour the local inns, enjoy holiday themes and sample tasty bites. That weekend is also the annual Tuba Christmas Concert at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum on Dec. 10. The Astoria Tuba Quartet lends the rich sound of tubas to traditional holiday music. And on Dec. 11 is the Water Music Society’s Christmas Concert held at the Inn at Harbor Village in Ilwaco. The Christmas Concert features an afternoon of traditional jazz instrumentals and vocals. It’s free to attend, but donations are welcome.
